DOXXER On Tuesday afternoon, Junpei's clamshell will ping! from wherever they have it. Should they pick it up to see what all the fuss is about, they will realize that their RULEBOOK app has updated to version 2.0. Opening the app will reveal that there has been an addendum to the rules... but one that seems meant exclusively for them. No other survivor will be able to see these additions. They read as such: 1. Each week, you may check ONE of your fellow participants to learn if they also HAVE BEEN GIVEN A ROLE. 2. You will have to use the PROVIDED TOOL in order to receive your information. 3. You must ACCEPT what you have learned. 4. You may PRIVATELY CONFIRM YOUR ROLE if asked, but you may not FREELY OFFER THE INFORMATION to others. A notification will arrive the moment they have finished reading through the update. Its contents are no less confusing. The fact that the moment they open a door and walk through it, they will find themselves falling face first an entirely new location. As they regain their bearings and look at their surroundings, they'll realize that the door they walked through is no longer there. It seems like they have only one choice, and that's to walk through a long, secure hallway until they reach their destination. It is there that they will find a familiar face... [On one of the office tables, there is a sparkling purple piece of plastic shaped like a dick. It's translucent, and holds a Magic 8-Ball die within.

[There's a long moment when he's just kind of staring at this dick, but...sure. After a few minutes he's going to push his luck and lick the tip to see if that does anything.

The choice is Taako because sometimes you just start big chaos and work your way down.]

[It makes the plastic dick grow a little warmer and the liquid inside seems to... activate?

But licking it isn't gonna do it, come on.]

[...never mind he would like to die. But sure, okay, that's. Hm. He's already committed so what about if he takes the tip into his mouth and sucks? Will that get him an answer faster? He'll even be polite and stroke it?

[Actually yes. This is the faster method.

After sucking the Magic Dick a bit, he'll hear a voice whispering sultrily into his ear:]

[He just about chokes on this fucking dick because that's not what he was expecting? But hah. Okay...okay? He's going to keep going for just a little longer to see if anything else happens. Results?]

TALK TO CHUUYA

[Ty you know what his office looks like thank god. He's here, seated in a chair, doing his best to ignore the sparkly purple plastic dick sitting on one of the office sidetables as he sips at his wine.]

Come on in-- looks like we have a thing or two to discuss.

[crashout]

[Well. This is a lot. He's staring blankly at the notif when it comes through, reading the update and reading the text. It's why he's still on his clamshell when he opens a door without paying attention, only looking up once he realizes he's back in Chuuya's office. Give him a moment to, like, eye the purple dick and also eye Chuuya before the shell goes into his back pocket.]

Looks like it. [But he's heading that way to have a seat. Did you bring wine for him, my guy, please share.] ..."Doxxxer", Chuuya?

Listen, I didn't pick the name-- I just got put in charge of it.

[That comes with a roll of his eyes, but yes, there's wine for Junpei too. He hands over a second glass.]

You've read the rules?

[crashout]

You really got the--[He almost says "short end" but. Stops.] Your job kind of sucks, doesn't it? [But he'll take the second glass and settle back to take a drink, pausing to recall what he's read.]

But I glanced everything over, yeah. So let me see if I have this right...this is going to be a weekly thing, I can learn things about people here that I might not be okay with, I'm not allowed to tell anybody on my own, and I have to use what I'm guessing is that Magic Dick over there to see the truth. That sound right?

It could suck more for me, trust me. Maybe be a little concerned about yourself.

[Another long sip, there.]

That's all correct though, yeah. You only get one per week, so make sure you put some thought into it. And, uh- [A gesture toward the Magic Dick.] You've got options with that thing, I think.

[crashout]

[He looks like he wants to say something but you know.]

I have a lot of questions and I'll start with the obvious ones first. What're my options with it? Like...do I just stroke it and it'll shoot out an answer? [This is all said in the most deadpan tone possible but...it's also sort of funny.]

[But okay. Eventually he stops stalling and gets up to go pick up this purple dick, weighing it in one hand. His left hand seems to be holding something else in his closed fist, feeling it in his palm before he runs through the notes in his head.

There's less hesitation this week as the plastic enters his mouth and he sucks, focusing on his choice.

He doesn't like that he's choosing it, and he's thinking this might not be correct, but Tamamo should probably be crosschecked, too.]

[It'll take a bit of sucking, but eventually, Junpei will hear an unidentifiable voice whispering sultrily into his ear:]

Tamamo does not have a role to play.

[He'll set the dick down then and seem thoughtful.]

That answers one of the questions I had then. These things are limited.

Fair enough. I'll have to see what else I can find out by asking around. People keep giving me answers on their own, so...it's worth a try.

[...whatever was in his left hand slips back into his pocket shortly after.] Do I have to check the people that I know have jobs to learn more about them? Or is that information you can provide me since I already know?

[Chuuya's seated in one of the chairs as usual, and beckons Junpei in.]

Well, you know how it goes now. Anything you want to talk about?

[crashout]

[He enters the office and he's wrapped in the leather jacket he acquired last week from the boutique, hands in his pockets as he moves to join Chuuya. Settling into one of the chairs, he gives him a very blank look for a moment.]

Are our rooming situations by chance? Or did your higher ups do this on purpose?

If they arranged that shit on purpose then I'd like to have a word with whoever stuck me with Nathan, originally.

Escha has the ability to protect people from exorcism. Dick gets assigned tasks once a week and earns items when he completes them. Oh, and I'm not rooming with her, but Beck has a job where she picks between some items each week and they get distributed through the hotel. That one I'm not as clear on, but that was the implication I got.

[He lifts his eyebrows.] You can see why I'm suspicious.
