DOXXER On Tuesday afternoon, Junpei's clamshell will ping! from wherever they have it. Should they pick it up to see what all the fuss is about, they will realize that their RULEBOOK app has updated to version 2.0. Opening the app will reveal that there has been an addendum to the rules... but one that seems meant exclusively for them. No other survivor will be able to see these additions. They read as such: 1. Each week, you may check ONE of your fellow participants to learn if they also HAVE BEEN GIVEN A ROLE. 2. You will have to use the PROVIDED TOOL in order to receive your information. 3. You must ACCEPT what you have learned. 4. You may PRIVATELY CONFIRM YOUR ROLE if asked, but you may not FREELY OFFER THE INFORMATION to others. A notification will arrive the moment they have finished reading through the update. Its contents are no less confusing. The fact that the moment they open a door and walk through it, they will find themselves falling face first an entirely new location. Particularly, one that doesn't seem to fit into any part of the hotel, and absolutely not one that they meant to go through. As they regain their bearings and look at their surroundings, they'll realize that the door they walked through is no longer there. It seems like they have only one choice, and that's to walk through a long, secure hallway until they reach their destination. It is there that they will find a familiar face... [On one of the office tables, there is a sparkling purple piece of plastic shaped like a dick. It's translucent, and holds a Magic 8-Ball die within.

It looks like this is your tool.

[There's a long moment when he's just kind of staring at this dick, but...sure. After a few minutes he's going to push his luck and lick the tip to see if that does anything.

The choice is Taako because sometimes you just start big chaos and work your way down.]

[It makes the plastic dick grow a little warmer and the liquid inside seems to... activate?

But licking it isn't gonna do it, come on.]

[...never mind he would like to die. But sure, okay, that's. Hm. He's already committed so what about if he takes the tip into his mouth and sucks? Will that get him an answer faster? He'll even be polite and stroke it?

[Actually yes. This is the faster method.

After sucking the Magic Dick a bit, he'll hear a voice whispering sultrily into his ear:]

[He just about chokes on this fucking dick because that's not what he was expecting? But hah. Okay...okay? He's going to keep going for just a little longer to see if anything else happens. Results?]

[The results are that he's sucking on a plastic dick and Chuuya's stifling laughter in the background.]

Junpei-- hey, come on, you got your info, you can stop.

[crashout]

[Just a Look and yeah, he's slamming the thing down and eyeing it suspiciously.]

At this point, I'd prefer to be thorough. [Don't @ him. He'll making a face at the plastic taste left in his mouth though. Ugh. Bad idea.] So...hey, what the fuck was that?

[Chuuya shrugs a shoulder, still amused, and offers Junpei his wineglass to help with that aftertaste.]

You've got a positive on him, at least, but you can't get the full picture yet.

[Thank god. He'll take the glass and take a swig, swirling the wine in his mouth to clear the aftertaste. It takes a few moments, but he'll hand the glass back to Chuuya.]

Don't tell me I have to waste another week and ask about him again to get the full thing. This distortion thing is really getting old.

That's not going to work, so I wouldn't suggest wasting your pick next week.

[He can at least give him that much.]

[Just. Dragging a hand down his face.]

...I'll see what I can do. Are the other roles under the same orders I am where they can't out themselves? Do we know that much?

[Ty you know what his office looks like thank god. He's here, seated in a chair, doing his best to ignore the sparkly purple plastic dick sitting on one of the office sidetables as he sips at his wine.]

Come on in-- looks like we have a thing or two to discuss.

[crashout]

[Well. This is a lot. He's staring blankly at the notif when it comes through, reading the update and reading the text. It's why he's still on his clamshell when he opens a door without paying attention, only looking up once he realizes he's back in Chuuya's office. Give him a moment to, like, eye the purple dick and also eye Chuuya before the shell goes into his back pocket.]

Looks like it. [But he's heading that way to have a seat. Did you bring wine for him, my guy, please share.] ..."Doxxxer", Chuuya?

Listen, I didn't pick the name-- I just got put in charge of it.

[That comes with a roll of his eyes, but yes, there's wine for Junpei too. He hands over a second glass.]

You've read the rules?

[crashout]

You really got the--[He almost says "short end" but. Stops.] Your job kind of sucks, doesn't it? [But he'll take the second glass and settle back to take a drink, pausing to recall what he's read.]

But I glanced everything over, yeah. So let me see if I have this right...this is going to be a weekly thing, I can learn things about people here that I might not be okay with, I'm not allowed to tell anybody on my own, and I have to use what I'm guessing is that Magic Dick over there to see the truth. That sound right?

It could suck more for me, trust me. Maybe be a little concerned about yourself.

[Another long sip, there.]

That's all correct though, yeah. You only get one per week, so make sure you put some thought into it. And, uh- [A gesture toward the Magic Dick.] You've got options with that thing, I think.

[He looks like he wants to say something but you know.]

I have a lot of questions and I'll start with the obvious ones first. What're my options with it? Like...do I just stroke it and it'll shoot out an answer? [This is all said in the most deadpan tone possible but...it's also sort of funny.]

[And with a sigh, like he really can't believe he has to say this:]

If you want to use your mouth I've got a good feeling that'll also be effective. Maybe less of a threat to the rug in here, but you know.

[He fully does not expect Junpei to blow a plastic dick.]

[...you say this to him like he won't try and see if it gets better results, but also he'll just sip his wine and shut up.]

Got it. [He swirls the glass around, thinking to himself then.] ...I guess the next question I have is "why"? Not why me, this isn't really that different than my job, but why does something like this need someone to out other roles? What's really going on here? And is there someone else who can out me?

chuuya just shrugs at the questions, though.]

I didn't make any decisions here, so I'm afraid I can't help you out on that front. I just got notified that I was supposed to be helping you with your job.

Better you than Nathan, I guess. At least I feel like I can get some answers. [But he'll still have to check on the babby NPC later. As it is...hm.]

That sounds weirdly ominous. [And yet he's not surprised.] Sort of feels like there really is someone among us helping to orchestrate the chain of events. Do I get a hint of how many other roles are even out there? If I only get one check a week, I want to make the most of it.

Figures. [Still not too mad about that, just...accepting this. Chuuya is at least second best NPC he can take comfort in that. ] You don't know how many rounds we're playing do you? Or is that a later question, too?

[His fingers tap the wine glass.] And this isn't necessary but it'll make my job easier. Think you could get me a notebook? Loose paper and sticky notes are starting to be a pain in the ass.

[He may or may not just be testing to see what the NPCs can do now.]
