DOXXER On Tuesday afternoon, Junpei's clamshell will ping! from wherever they have it. Should they pick it up to see what all the fuss is about, they will realize that their RULEBOOK app has updated to version 2.0. Opening the app will reveal that there has been an addendum to the rules... but one that seems meant exclusively for them. No other survivor will be able to see these additions. They read as such: 1. Each week, you may check ONE of your fellow participants to learn if they also HAVE BEEN GIVEN A ROLE. 2. You will have to use the PROVIDED TOOL in order to receive your information. 3. You must ACCEPT what you have learned. 4. You may PRIVATELY CONFIRM YOUR ROLE if asked, but you may not FREELY OFFER THE INFORMATION to others. A notification will arrive the moment they have finished reading through the update. Its contents are no less confusing. [On one of the office tables, there is a sparkling purple piece of plastic shaped like a dick. It's translucent, and holds a Magic 8-Ball die within.

It looks like this is your tool.

[But okay. Eventually he stops stalling and gets up to go pick up this purple dick, weighing it in one hand. His left hand seems to be holding something else in his closed fist, feeling it in his palm before he runs through the notes in his head.

There's less hesitation this week as the plastic enters his mouth and he sucks, focusing on his choice.

He doesn't like that he's choosing it, and he's thinking this might not be correct, but Tamamo should probably be crosschecked, too.]

[It'll take a bit of sucking, but eventually, Junpei will hear an unidentifiable voice whispering sultrily into his ear:]

Tamamo does not have a role to play.

[He'll set the dick down then and seem thoughtful.]

That answers one of the questions I had then. These things are limited.

Fair enough. I'll have to see what else I can find out by asking around. People keep giving me answers on their own, so...it's worth a try.

[...whatever was in his left hand slips back into his pocket shortly after.] Do I have to check the people that I know have jobs to learn more about them? Or is that information you can provide me since I already know?

A sexually transmitted demon? [Dryly. He technically got a lot last week, but.] Last week...Taako's role was distorted, and Beck picked an option that delivered boxes to a bunch of people, including me. Do you mean something else?

[doublesmall]

Your information, I meant. You only got the name.

[crashout]

...right. But I don't want to waste my one chance a week checking for people that I already know, and if they can't tell me themselves, I kind of have to waste it to get more about their title and rules. Don't I? [He rubs his face.] This is kind of a huge loophole where I can't get much done. ...not that that's your fault.

[doublesmall]

[big shrug, again!]

There is a way to fix that, I just can't help you with it.

But you know what it is. What is it? At this point I'll try just about anything to go in the right direction.

[Chuuya's seated in one of the chairs as usual, and beckons Junpei in.]

Well, you know how it goes now. Anything you want to talk about?

[crashout]

[He enters the office and he's wrapped in the leather jacket he acquired last week from the boutique, hands in his pockets as he moves to join Chuuya. Settling into one of the chairs, he gives him a very blank look for a moment.]

Are our rooming situations by chance? Or did your higher ups do this on purpose?

If they arranged that shit on purpose then I'd like to have a word with whoever stuck me with Nathan, originally.

Escha has the ability to protect people from exorcism. Dick gets assigned tasks once a week and earns items when he completes them. Oh, and I'm not rooming with her, but Beck has a job where she picks between some items each week and they get distributed through the hotel. That one I'm not as clear on, but that was the implication I got.

[He lifts his eyebrows.] You can see why I'm suspicious.

Oh, you've been working fast.

[he sounds pleased? good job, junpei.]

I'm pretty sure it's all by chance, though, so it looks like you three just got lucky.

[crashout]

[Praise him, he's doing his best. He even looks a little happy with the praise? God, kill him.]

Lucky for me especially because they like me well enough. I haven't confirmed with them that I have a job. I wasn't sure if it'd be safe for them to know, considering my job is finding everyone else.

[...but. Hm.] Since I went above and beyond my job this week, do you think they would let you answer some questions for me?

[doublesmall]

That depends on the questions. I can't do a whole lot just in exchange for you doing the job-- what you asked me for last time was pretty small, compared to information.

Try me, and I'll see if I can do anything for you.

[crashout]

[He leans back in his chair, folding his arms over his chest and thinking this over.]

We know there's at least five of us out there, including me and including Taako who I've been trying to get a read on but right now I've got nothing in the way of his role. This isn't a case where every single person has a role in this game, is it? There's a set number?

[yeah, that gets him a big ol' shrug.]

Chuuya, I've touched more dicks this last week than I have in my entire life. I'm not asking for names, but can't I get a hint on a number I should be looking for?
