They're close enough to be able to see the room they're entering, now; it's a huge one, with dim, flickering overhead lights and a dank atmosphere. The hallway they're in continues straight ahead, but also branches off to the left and right not far from where they're about to enter the room proper. This appears at first glance to be a dungeon, judging by an open cell door they can see further down the hall.
...and it sounds like they are not alone. Deep within the dungeon there's an echoing, shuffling sound that seems to be coming from somewhere down the hallway to their right. Maybe breaking down the door wasn't the best plan?
If they're going to look at the papers, they should maybe do it quickly.]

still, though, since it sounds like it's not right by them—he makes a gesture to the other two to move forward, whether it be straight ahead or to the left. just not the right. he'll stay between them and... whatever's making that noise.]
[Whether Dick keeps trying to read or the others look at the papers as well is up to them, but! Dick will find the following on the two papers.
The first one is a map which I JUST realized I fucked up-- the left side has a hallway down the outside just like the right side. I accidentally cut it off. Imagine the hallway.
The second is a different type of paper, and in fact seems to be a page from some sort of journal:]
“We were warned about this. Something’s down here— we don’t know what, but we know we can’t face it. I’d like to try to study it, if I can, but… right. Exploring this place and getting what we need comes first. It’s too big to move quickly in as a group, so we’re splitting up… that way it can’t get us all at the same time, in a worst-case scenario.
They keep telling me not to document in a situation like this, but how else are we going to retain information?”
[There are a few notes scrawled hastily onto the bottom of this page:]
“-HEARS WELL -SEEMS BLIND -SCENTING UNKNOWN??”
[So, yes, good job shutting him up, Tamamo!
The noise from the hallway on their right (the map's left) seems to be coming closer.]
[ WELL ALRIGHT HE PICKS UP ON THE SOUND AFTER HE'S GOTTEN THE PAPERS so he's not even mad tamamo shut him up. he taps them both on the shoulder once once he's finished reading, gesturing first to the "hears well, seems blind" bit, then to the "split up" part. then he points to the map, himself, and then, taps lightly against the security office.
he knows kagachi has a pen but dick's got like, his hands full between the papers and the flashlight, still, so. he's trying to suggest they split up and he's volunteering for the security office. ]
[Everyone present owes her ice cream if they don't die horrible, so she would decree if she could actually speak. Instead her eyes narrow on Dick before nodding. She understands what he's saying, and agrees -- split up and explore the rooms as quickly as possible.
And so she will point to herself, then to cells... 2, 3, 4, and 5, then back to herself. Afterwards she points to Kagachi, then the Medical Cell + cell 6, and again back to Kagachi.
Essentially what she's trying to convey is that they should take hallways. She takes the middle, Dick can perhaps take the right to get to the security office, and Kagachi can take the left to get to the medical cell.
... Also regardless, she's still nervous about that monster and is gonna keep them moving down the central hallway as they "talk"]
he's a little unsure about dick heading towards the right and tamamo being the middle area, but honestly, who can say how the monster is going to move? any one of them could be fucked, depending.
and they don't have time to waste arguing, so he just nods—though he pulls out his knife and a scalpel and hands them over to her. please do not be completely unarmed.
anyhow, assuming they're all good, he's going to move out towards the medical cell because our time limit scares me.]

Kagachi, on peeling off to head to the medical cell, seems to be safe taking the center hallway route. But once he gets there... the medical cell has a keycard lock, too. Its light glows orange.
The shuffling sound is growing a little quieter as the creature hasn't run across anything, but from their position they can still hear some movement rounding the top left corner of the map, entering the northern hallway.]
[ Dick nods before they leave, jaw set. he goes through the center hallway and turns in the middle, (using the hallway where there is no blood on the map) pocketing the flashlight now that there's (sort of) light around. He's keeping an ear out for any sudden noises and an eye out for anything suspicious, but otherwise, he's going straight for that security office!! man i hope there's a doorway from that side ]
[Kagachi is correct in assuming Tamamo ain't armed, so she'll take the scalpel and knife with a grin, and nod to him. She'll be careful.

[It's fortunate that you mentioned Dick moves silently, because the closer he gets to cell 1, the more he'll start to hear that shuffling, dragging sound again. He's growing closer... but it's not visible at the end of the hallway. It's already turned the corner to head elsewhere. Through the cell door, he can see that same cell layout: a bed on one side, a chair in a corner. There's a puddle of blood on the floor.
Tamamo will not find anything in the cot or under the covers, but where is she looking as she goes to inspect the chair-- just zooming in on it?
Oh, and she'll hear a faint shuffling once more.

Further inspection will turn up nothing in Kagachi's chosen room! Also yes, same handwriting, same paper. But as he heads down that center hallway and enters the... vertical center hallway... he will hear a snort.
The creature's just turned into that central hallway on the north end. The lights in this hall flicker like they might go out as something large and indistinct begins to head his way-- he can see in the dim, unstable light that it has an abundance of limbs, but he can't tell anything else.]
he takes a silent step back, but—he waits. tamamo is most likely in either cell 2 or cell 3, he figures. if the monster enters the room she's in, she's trapped.
and thus, he watches to see if it looks like the monster will move into either of those cells. if so, he'll make a move.
