COCKBLOCKERS: EDELGARD, GRUNE, SHIRAISHI

COCKBLOCKER
On Monday afternoon, all three of their clamshells will ping! from wherever they have it. Should they pick it up to see what all the fuss is about, they will realize that their RULEBOOK app has updated once again. There's one more rule in their list now, though everything on this page remains unreadable to others...

The new rule is:

6. You must remember that you SHARE A COMMON GOAL.
The notification will pop up once again -- guess updates are just like this!

WEE 🚨 OOO 🚨 WEE 🚨 OOO HEY SLUTS ARE YOU READY TO GET UP OFF YOUR LIL 🍑 ASS 🍑 AND BLOCK 🚫🚫🚫 SOME COCKS 🐓🐓🐓 ? ? ? 🍆💦 🍆💦 🍆💦 YOU ARE THE 👮 FUN 👮 POLICE 👮 AND YOU'RE HERE TO RAIN ☂️ ☂️ ☂️ ON SOME PARADES !!!! UP AND AT 'EM TO MEET THE B̴̨̃ͩ̈́ͬͨ̕I͋͐ͫ͘͘Gͪ͐͗̓̓̃́̚G̴̀̓E͛́̀S͂̃͂͐͌̽̓̔T̢̓̊̎͑̐ ̷̴̃́H̓ͨ̒́͘Ỏ̏͗̋͑ͮͯ̌ ̨̊̎̅ͫ̊͢O͛ͯͣ̌̈́̋ͣ̀͝F͋̄̚͞͝ ̴̔̉̍͟A̴̾L̨̂̊̔̀L̍ͦ͆̏̚
As usual, they will be brought to a familiar meeting place with a familiar host -- but this time, something is different. This time they'll realize quickly that they are no longer alone...

Mm. It's pointless in situations where we have a clear culprit.

...

The exorcism expels the demon but doesn't kill it. If her ability is sparing them from the exorcism process, then wouldn't it be fair to assume the demon wouldn't be expelled?

Yes. But there's always the chance they'd target someone she's protecting. A small chance, but if we could find a way to make it work then we'd be fairly foolproof, unless it's able to just switch targets last minute.

[ and then he nods. ] Mmhmm. It has to be a secret.
warmness: (it followed me)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Very hush hush, yes.

[ she taps her chin ]

Well, we'll definitely need to get an answer for Eddie's role. I'm hoping we can still sexorcise [ no ] the demon but keep the person alive though...

Maybe we'll all need to do something for Polly to get the answer together?
hegemonstrous: (*a or it's gonna go down in flames)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Without a clear answer, I find it rather risky to try. I’d also like to save a host - particularly if they can answer questions. [Or maybe just to save lives, Eddie? No?] It’s possible the intervention is whatever causes the exorcism process to kill the host, but I couldn’t say.

Shiraishi, how have you been choosing your targets? What individuals do you imagine are at risk of killing by “one of us.” Suspected demons?
felinguistic: (39)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Like she said, we could always see if we can do a favour to figure out if you can save a host during the exorcism.

I left it to chance the first week, to see if it seemed to work. Whether it was chance or not, none of my targets have died so far. Second week, I chose someone I thought might be at risk. Last week, someone who it would be detrimental to us to lose.

[ ... ] Someone gave me a request this week. I'm waiting on hearing about another.
warmness: (joining the sea)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Can we ask about the request?

[ she knows yall are into secrets and shit ]

If you choose someone who is possessed, is there any way for you can find out if they were or not after? It might not be too bad if that's the case.
hegemonstrous: (*a heaven sin)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! I intend to ask Polly for an opportunity to earn more information. You are welcome to join.

[She considers both of that.]

There’s no mechanism for me to find out after the fact that I know of. Shiraishi, my question is simply what is meant by “one of us.” Non-demons? If so, what reason do we have to believe non-demons would have tried to kill someone?
felinguistic: (20)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[ i'm weeping irl because i thought of this yesterday and closed my eyes for a very long time. ]

It probably depends on whether or not they count them as "one of our own" when they're inhabiting our bodies. Another question then. But there are always chances a "non-demon" would choose to kill someone - vigilante justice, if they think they've figured out a host when they haven't and take matters into their own hands. And some people just like killing.

[ he looks at grune. ]

The request to me? One of your brothers wants me to protect the other.
warmness: (and let the sunlight)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[ she just nods at what shiraishi says about non-demon killers, although her smile lessens a fraction when he brings up people just. enjoying murder. ]

He asked me the same thing. I assume it was Higekiri who asked?

[ a boy is busy ]
hegemonstrous: (*a new money)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I think we should ask, yes. If Grune has the ability to protect from demons, I’d assume otherwise.

[She listens to Grune - ]

Higekiri. He approached me, too, but I didn’t give him any details and was therefore not asked to make any promises.

My recommendation would be that we should try and pick strategically rather than sentimentally. Make a list of those most likely to become a target and protect them. But of course, both of you should use your role as you see fit, if you feel otherwise.

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[ he just looks at grune and nods. ]

Yes. He's pretty concerned, hm? I wasn't able to give him any promises either. I've already protected Hizamaru once.

Alright then. What suggestions would you have? Strategically speaking.
warmness: (couldn't sit back)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm... if it's okay with you, I think I might protect him this week. I'd feel rather bad if something happened to him and neither of us protected him. Higekiri may not forgive us.

[ ... ]

But after that, I'll choose whoever you think may be the best choice.
hegemonstrous: (*a where you been)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[Nodding, giving her a smile.]

I see no problem with that. I don’t have any sense who’s likely to be chosen this week anyway.
felinguistic: (12)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Do we ever?

[ but there's a pause, and he nods. ] I have no objections. It is better if we spread our options out.

Although I have two options -- one perhaps more personal, and one with a role I think might be quite important. But perhaps, given what our host has just said, I should be offering my protection to you this week.

[ he's talking to edelgard but lmao heck if he remembers her name. ]

[ i just went and read that thread and closed my eyes ]

Ah.

So what's the plan then? [ ... ] Actually, does Katy know why you did that now or did you not tell her after? Because if she or that man get possessed, they may choose you because of what occurred in trial.
hegemonstrous: (*a suit and tie)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
They don’t know. I didn’t intend to tell them, but perhaps I should find a way to do so, if only for that reason.

[Sighing! But it’s fine.]

I can take care of myself, if they’re human. And I can’t see how either of you could choose me without breaking the rule of my knowledge. In any event, it might be for the best to all choose the same person just in case. Maybe Hizamaru, but I also know someone else with a role, who is looking to find a demon. If they name a demon to me this week, we could choose that person.
felinguistic: (67)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It's the only reason you'd need to, really. At least she'd be aware and less likely to resist suggestions you make in the future.

[ sigh, indeed. ]

When would you hear back from them? Time is, in a way, of the essence with this sort of thing. The sooner we know, the sooner we can get things in place.
warmness: (that i've been)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[ she sighs because she wants to be cool ]

Mm. We can make our final decision then, I suppose. But if it seems like it's taking too long...
hegemonstrous: (*a look at that face)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I’m not certain, but - today, I think. We could meet this evening and I’ll tell you what they found.

Perhaps if it turns out my friend has not located a demon - all three of us ought to choose Hizamaru, in case he turns out to be a demon?

It may be, based on our last conversation, that my friend will check Dick. In which case we cannot do the, ah, sexorcism even if he is a demon, as I assume Grune can’t choose him again. So, if it is Dick, perhaps I ought to choose him, Grune ought to choose Hizamaru, and Shiraishi, you can choose whoever you believe might happen to be at risk of being targeted.
felinguistic: (11)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I can swing things so I pick Hizamaru, sure. And to pick someone else if need be. But if they don't check our vigilante, or if he comes back clear we're minus an option. There is someone I think would be worth offering some protection to - given they can pass us messages from the recently departed.

I suppose the big question is is it better to focus on fully protecting one person, or giving multiple people some kind of protection.

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-05 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Hm... I think if we focus all on one person, it might be best if we have a reason to suspect they may be targeted? But if we don't, or if we think multiple people might be at risk, spreading out isn't so bad.
hegemonstrous: (*a and i'll write your name)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-05 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
The sexorcism is a possibility I don't want to ignore. Both my and Shiraishi's roles are for more specific circumstances than yours, so I'd let your pick guide us, Grune. But there's an advantage to all trying the same person, since if there's even a slight chance they're a demon, we could free them that way.

On the other hand, if there's a demon about, but you can't pick them as you'll lose the benefit of your protective power, I'll choose them myself so we can at least save them after execution.

In that case, Shiraishi, you should pick whoever you feel is best. But I will resolve the situation with Katy and Haymitch on my own, as I won't be a burden to our group.
felinguistic: (13)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-05 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I've said I have someone else in mind. If there's no objections, I'll stick to that and we'll hope that things work out.

At least we'll know who's clear, and can do a little voting manipulation if it looks like we're veering wildly in the wrong direction.
warmness: (like the land)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-06 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Hopefully we'll figure things out this week better than we did last week.

[ although in their defense, everyone did acknowledge illumi as a suspect they just were suspicious of how straightforward the clue was and wanted to double check every angle

but still. ]

We'll have more time to plan for next week.
