COCKBLOCKERS: EDELGARD, GRUNE, SHIRAISHI

COCKBLOCKER
On Monday afternoon, all three of their clamshells will ping! from wherever they have it. Should they pick it up to see what all the fuss is about, they will realize that their RULEBOOK app has updated once again. There's one more rule in their list now, though everything on this page remains unreadable to others...

The new rule is:

6. You must remember that you SHARE A COMMON GOAL.
The notification will pop up once again -- guess updates are just like this!

WEE 🚨 OOO 🚨 WEE 🚨 OOO HEY SLUTS ARE YOU READY TO GET UP OFF YOUR LIL 🍑 ASS 🍑 AND BLOCK 🚫🚫🚫 SOME COCKS 🐓🐓🐓 ? ? ? 🍆💦 🍆💦 🍆💦 YOU ARE THE 👮 FUN 👮 POLICE 👮 AND YOU'RE HERE TO RAIN ☂️ ☂️ ☂️ ON SOME PARADES !!!! UP AND AT 'EM TO MEET THE B̴̨̃ͩ̈́ͬͨ̕I͋͐ͫ͘͘Gͪ͐͗̓̓̃́̚G̴̀̓E͛́̀S͂̃͂͐͌̽̓̔T̢̓̊̎͑̐ ̷̴̃́H̓ͨ̒́͘Ỏ̏͗̋͑ͮͯ̌ ̨̊̎̅ͫ̊͢O͛ͯͣ̌̈́̋ͣ̀͝F͋̄̚͞͝ ̴̔̉̍͟A̴̾L̨̂̊̔̀L̍ͦ͆̏̚
As usual, they will be brought to a familiar meeting place with a familiar host -- but this time, something is different. This time they'll realize quickly that they are no longer alone...

TALK TO POLLY

[personal profile] yaaaasss 2019-11-04 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
[Polly is waiting for them all by sitting on the counter by the sinks. She lights up as they all walk in, looking pleased as punch.]

Yes, yes! You guys finally found each other. Okay, now we're really in business. Hit me with your questions, babes!

[ amazing ]

They had no idea what they were doing when they handed out the roles, did they? Or maybe they had a very specific idea instead.
warmness: (i was looking for)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I don't know... this seems nice. We can all block cocks together.

[God.]

Any progress on my question last week? What becomes of a demon if it’s host is [Pausing] cockblocked?

And if not, may I request a task in exchange for the information? It was suggested to me this was an option.
hegemonstrous: (*a magic madness)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[Smiling. Even though it seems like she agrees more with the first point.]

Yes, it’s marvelous. We’re all very unsuited in distinct ways. Though I ought to note - I’ve only been doing this since Escha’s death.

Now, who did both of you choose last week? If it wasn’t obvious by now, I had protected Katy.
felinguistic: (4)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, so that was your grand plan. If you’ve taken over Escha’s role then you would have prevented her exorcism, yes?

[ nicely done, actually. ]

Junpei. For who I protected.
warmness: (it felt so sweet)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
That makes a lot more sense.... and I suppose that answers my question on what happens if we die.

[ things truly do come full circle ]

Mmm... I protected Dick.
hegemonstrous: (*a grab your passport)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I prevent exorcism deaths. I sought to prevent a needless death if we were truly at an impasse by steering the vote towards Katy. But it was unnecessary, and the gambit won’t work twice.

[She’s not really happy with or proud of how that went!!]

Your roles work differently...?
felinguistic: (67)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I don't know.

We know. If the vote is split we could always group vote for your weekly choice and see if we come out on top. If we're that undecided, three could be enough.

[ it's a thought. ]

Yes. I protect someone from being hurt by "one of our own". Of course, if I pick someone who's possessed then there can be problems. But if we're lucky we might be able to work around it... if probability is on our side.
warmness: (like the land)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
And I can protect someone from being killed by Thot. [ ... ] Or John Cena, Or Llemon, or Seinfeld...

[ demons

she means she can protect people from being killed by demons ]

It didn't seem like a lot of people voted this past week, so that could work.
hegemonstrous: (*a look at that face)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. In the future, if there’s truly no suspect, we can all three vote for the person I chose. And there are one or two people I should be able to let know as well. But I wouldn’t want to risk using that in any other case where, like yesterday, there’s a good enough suspect to be worth the risk of a wrong result. Stopping the demons must be the first priority.

[She’s thinking about it for a second.]

I think Escha had a different strategy. I know she was trying to find the name of a host, in the hopes that if that person were chosen for exorcism, the host’s life would be spared. But I have been unable to get confirmation that choosing a host wouldn’t actually result in sparing the demon as well.

Grune, your role is the most obviously useful. Whereas yours, Shiraishi, seems quite the double edged sword.

I presume both of you have to choose someone who doesn’t know they’re being protected...?
felinguistic: (5)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. It's pointless in situations where we have a clear culprit.

...

The exorcism expels the demon but doesn't kill it. If her ability is sparing them from the exorcism process, then wouldn't it be fair to assume the demon wouldn't be expelled?

Yes. But there's always the chance they'd target someone she's protecting. A small chance, but if we could find a way to make it work then we'd be fairly foolproof, unless it's able to just switch targets last minute.

[ and then he nods. ] Mmhmm. It has to be a secret.
warmness: (it followed me)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Very hush hush, yes.

[ she taps her chin ]

Well, we'll definitely need to get an answer for Eddie's role. I'm hoping we can still sexorcise [ no ] the demon but keep the person alive though...

Maybe we'll all need to do something for Polly to get the answer together?
hegemonstrous: (*a or it's gonna go down in flames)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Without a clear answer, I find it rather risky to try. I’d also like to save a host - particularly if they can answer questions. [Or maybe just to save lives, Eddie? No?] It’s possible the intervention is whatever causes the exorcism process to kill the host, but I couldn’t say.

Shiraishi, how have you been choosing your targets? What individuals do you imagine are at risk of killing by “one of us.” Suspected demons?
felinguistic: (39)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Like she said, we could always see if we can do a favour to figure out if you can save a host during the exorcism.

I left it to chance the first week, to see if it seemed to work. Whether it was chance or not, none of my targets have died so far. Second week, I chose someone I thought might be at risk. Last week, someone who it would be detrimental to us to lose.

[ ... ] Someone gave me a request this week. I'm waiting on hearing about another.
warmness: (joining the sea)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Can we ask about the request?

[ she knows yall are into secrets and shit ]

If you choose someone who is possessed, is there any way for you can find out if they were or not after? It might not be too bad if that's the case.
hegemonstrous: (*a heaven sin)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! I intend to ask Polly for an opportunity to earn more information. You are welcome to join.

[She considers both of that.]

There’s no mechanism for me to find out after the fact that I know of. Shiraishi, my question is simply what is meant by “one of us.” Non-demons? If so, what reason do we have to believe non-demons would have tried to kill someone?
felinguistic: (20)

[personal profile] felinguistic 2019-11-04 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[ i'm weeping irl because i thought of this yesterday and closed my eyes for a very long time. ]

It probably depends on whether or not they count them as "one of our own" when they're inhabiting our bodies. Another question then. But there are always chances a "non-demon" would choose to kill someone - vigilante justice, if they think they've figured out a host when they haven't and take matters into their own hands. And some people just like killing.

[ he looks at grune. ]

The request to me? One of your brothers wants me to protect the other.
warmness: (and let the sunlight)

[personal profile] warmness 2019-11-04 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[ she just nods at what shiraishi says about non-demon killers, although her smile lessens a fraction when he brings up people just. enjoying murder. ]

He asked me the same thing. I assume it was Higekiri who asked?

[ a boy is busy ]
hegemonstrous: (*a new money)

[personal profile] hegemonstrous 2019-11-04 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I think we should ask, yes. If Grune has the ability to protect from demons, I’d assume otherwise.

[She listens to Grune - ]

Higekiri. He approached me, too, but I didn’t give him any details and was therefore not asked to make any promises.

My recommendation would be that we should try and pick strategically rather than sentimentally. Make a list of those most likely to become a target and protect them. But of course, both of you should use your role as you see fit, if you feel otherwise.
