CATFISH On Monday afternoon, Wei Wuxian's clamshell will ping! from wherever he has it. Should he pick it up to see what all the fuss is about, he will realize that his RULEBOOK app has updated to version 2.0. Opening the app will reveal that there has been an addendum to the rules... but one that seems meant exclusively for him. No other survivor will be able to see these additions. They read as such: 1. Each week, you will be given A TASK by your guides. 2. The specifics of this task will VARY FROM WEEK TO WEEK, and there's no guarantee that any two tasks will be the same. 3. You MUST COMPLETE THIS TASK BEFORE THE DAY OF THE TRIAL, regardless of what it entails. 4. You may PRIVATELY CONFIRM YOUR ROLE if asked, but you may not OFFER THE INFORMATION FREELY to others. [On Friday morning, WWX will wake up to find a disc (inside a disc sleeve) in his hand. There's nothing written on it, but if he thinks to check it out in the Movie Theater, he will find that it's compatible with the equipment in the projection room.

Though, he may wish he had left it be after watching the footage recorded on the disc.

It's filmed like a demo reel. WWX will not see his own world included in it, but he will see shots that contain more structurally sound, less beat up versions of the ruins. And in them... He will see people. Leaders. Civilians. Law-enforcers. All adults, who do whatever they want whenever they want it. Want to greet your boss by planting a smooch on their mouth? Do it. Want to have sex with that pretty stranger you met today? Chances are, so do they! Feel like testing out your newfound stabbing kink with your partner? Go for it.

Occasionally... There are shots of mangled corpses. Horrible, grisly deaths that nobody pays attention to. But it's fine, isn't it? Everyone looks happy. Everyone looks pleased. Sex is now a social activity used to strengthen bonds, openly and without a hint of shame, and the world has never been better.
