GRAVEYARD POPULATION: 17 Abruptly, you come to. The sun is hot on your back, but there's the gentle lapping of cool water on your feet and legs as you regain your consciousness. Beneath you is sand - lots and lots of sand, some of it wet, the majority of it dry and burning. You hear the sound a seagull crying from somewhere up above you, and you can smell and almost taste the tang of salt in the air. You've found yourself washed up on what appears to be some kind of tropical island - one of your hands is gripping your clamshell, even if you didn't have it in your hand before you died. It's bright and well-lit, and there's the sound of voices from somewhere a ways away from the beach. Lastly, as you sit up, if you had some kind of supernatural power before coming here, you notice one thing in particular - that power that you were so familiar with before it vanished upon your awakening inside the hotel? It's back. Welcome to paradise. You won't be leaving here any time soon. - - - Welcome to the graveyard! Though your character is now out of the living side of the game, this does not mean they are fully removed from the action. We have several mechanics and events planned that will allow the dead to affect the course of the game just as much, if not more, than those on the living side. We will announce these opportunities as they happen in the #graveyard-announcements channel. But in the meantime, here are a couple of neat things to consider as you settle into the graveyard! 1. As mentioned above, all characters will wake up with their clamshell in hand. While there's no place to use Finansex at this moment, characters will still have access to the My Appointments app to request NPC audiences. Go forth and request private meetings as your heart desires. 2. The graveyard has its very own location page. You can check it out over here to see what kind of shenanigans your characters can get up to while on the island. 3. Additionally, powers are now available. While some may still be nerfed if they are too game breaking, most characters will wake up to find that the majority of their powers have been reactivated. So the ruins that have been appearing - they're places from our own worlds?

Yeah, they are. It seems to be significant places and they always appear on Monday.

[ Sooooo be ready ]

[ don't like that. don't like that at all. but kanesan just looks out at them with a frown. ]

Then I'll have to trust that it won't distract them from the mission.

He'll be here. The island is big enough if you can to avoid him.

[ Like he knows it's awkward to hang with the face of your killer... even if they weren't in control. ]

Distract them? You mean the other Swords? [ A frown as he looks at the ruins. ] Because it'll be the Citadel.

I'd prefer to. It may not have been him, but it was still his hands who touched my sword.

[ he's still mad his sword was so abused... it's not such an easy thing to forgive. to the rest, though, he simply nods. ]

I know. It's our home. Seeing it in ruins won't be easy for any of us.

[ He already knows how important the swords are to the swords. And that it might also be awkward when Carlos whips it out, too. ]

Okay. I could let him if you want.

[ Rubbing the back of his head. He didn't even think about it until Kanesada brought it up. ]

Yeah... I'm sure they'll remember the mission! They all are pretty dedicated.

...No. I can handle it. But thank you for offering.

They are. Seeing our home in ruins may shake them, but I don't think it will stop them. They'll find a way to keep moving forward, with each other's help. They have a lot to keep working for.
