HONEYPOT On Monday afternoon, Dick's clamshell will ping! from wherever they have it. Should they pick it up to see what all the fuss is about, they will realize that their RULEBOOK app has updated to version 2.0. Opening the app will reveal that there has been an addendum to the rules... but one that seems meant exclusively for them. No other survivor will be able to see these additions. They read as such: 1. Each week, you will be given A TASK by your guides. 2. The specifics of this task will VARY FROM WEEK TO WEEK, and there's no guarantee that any two tasks will be the same. 3. You MUST COMPLETE THIS TASK BEFORE THE DAY OF THE TRIAL, regardless of what it entails. 4. You may PRIVATELY CONFIRM YOUR ROLE if asked, but you may not OFFER THE INFORMATION FREELY to others. As they regain their bearings and look at their surroundings, they'll realize that the door they walked through is no longer there. It seems like they have only one choice, and that's to walk forward until they reach their destination. It is there that they will find a familiar face... [ it's not an outright yes, but it's not a no either. because-- whoever it was killed someone already. and they absolutely would again. and really, he already did it to someone who didn't deserve it at all. at least this time. at least this time. justifiable or not, it doesn't matter. it's saving more lives in the long run. he can make that call.

(he thinks about saying to beck that no one needs to hear about his morality crisis and chokes a bit on irony.) ]

[The only two options are to kill the demon and its host, or to let it roam free, and — yeah. Neither of those are good, so Carlos won't bother.]

Right. Ballroom's always open so you shouldn't have any trouble there. Polly and I will give you the items you need to set up the ritual. It'll be your job to figure out how to get Maou inside the circle, and you'll have to dispatch the demon on your own. The evidence isn't going to clean up itself, though, so be careful.

... Think I've got an idea how to pull that off. [ it's a gross one, but it's safer than trying to cause a scuffle. they still don't know if kanesan was targeted because the demon figured out he'd been the one to perform the exorcism or not. the less of a fight there is, the better. it's like undercover work, really. ] Just a matter of getting him alone when the ship's less occupied.
