There's one more rule in their list now, though everything on this page remains unreadable to others...

That was an official part of your role? ... Well, I guess it'd be. I didn't get anything like that—Chuuya wouldn't even confirm for me if there were other roles.

It's entirely possible. He could be receiving messages from ghosts of fucked-up past, like hints from how the last scenario went. It's just a theory I'm working on though.

Chuuya never outright told me there were other roles that shared my title, but yeah. That's what I check each week I'm here, but I found most of the roles on my own time.

It's why I didn't tell Dick and Escha right away when we started talking about it. But they both know I have a part in this now. The only other people who know are the people in this room.

Higekiri pretty much knows I have one, but with no explicit confirmation. After my punishment last week, I'm not interested in seeing how it might escalate.

Yeah. I realized during the trial that that's what it meant, since I'm pretty sure Escha and I broke the rules with each other.

It's possible. She came back and told me and Dick pretty much the same day. We've been trying to network and figure things out as best as we can without outting each other.

When did Escha first learn about you and Dick? When she and I found each other, she said you two didn't know yet.

The Sunday Monika was exorcised. She learned about Dick then and we figured out hers by playing a game. [A beat.] I didn't tell them until last Thursday. We've been trying to keep things on the downlow until we know what we're dealing with.

[he nods.]

She and I confirmed each other the day before that.

Though I'm not sure how much on the downlow it is when Dick straight-up showed me the items he got before he even confessed.

What items?

A bookmark with an eye symbol and the words HERE STOPPED, and a note saying that the ruins are the key.

Love how straightforward this place is.

That's because Dick isn't. Whatever. [He waves a hand.] He obviously trusts you enough to think it's not a problem, so it's not a problem for me either. He probably wanted to make sure it was just him.

Escha and I did the whole vague dance to confirm that the other had a role, but then we directly asked each other what the function was.

Not allowed, apparently.

Yeah. Even knowing the why, I'm still wondering what did it.

It's why I'm trying to be more careful about how I confirm things.

Go ask Junpei how long we played fucking twenty questions. It's a pain in the ass to do it the right way.

I know. I did it the proper way when I asked Beck.

Thankfully, people seem to find my role pretty easy to guess.
