Escha genuinely adored Tamamo!!! She thought she was so brave and outgoing and, like, dignified, in a way?! And Escha was closeish, for the early game, with Junpei, so she was kind of always keeping an eye on Tamamo out of curiosity, but no one really explained what their relationship was, so she was just ?????? at them a lot of the time...

She thought Tamamo was actually a little bit hard to talk to, just because she seemed kind of... Above Escha? Not like she thought of herself as above Escha, but because Escha thought of her as above Escha. If that makes sense... Escha was intimidated by how pretty and cool she thought Tamamo was.

... But then Junpei was worried about Tamamo and he knew about Escha's cockblocker role. (Escha knew about Kagachi's ability to check if someone was possessed, but because we had to submit who we used our powers on early, even though Escha would have... Known... That Tamamo didn't need the protecting, I'd already had to submit it, so.......... ESCHA WAS DUMB THAT WEEK AS A SIDE EFFECT FROM BREAKING INTO A ROOM so it made a convenient excuse for why she had confirmed Tamamo was safe, then still chosen to protect her.)

So then Demonzawa attacked her, but Escha lived, and she was like "OH, I KNOW, I'll frame Tamamo, because she can't die to the ritual! And Dick, Junpei, and Kagachi all know that she's protected, so maybe they'll help convince people during the trial!"

But she's A) bad at framing people normally and B) was cursed with stupid while trying to frame someone, and C) IMMEDIATELY FORGOT that she'd done all of that bc of the stupidity curse. But as she started to remember, mostly Escha just felt guilty, because it was like - what a scary thing to put someone through! even if they would have been okay!!

And then she died, so that's kind of where it cut off. She still admires Tamamo, but in the end, she gets to go home, so? GOOD?? ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL??? The guilt was there up until the end, but now that Escha is being demonified and Tamamo isn't, she's kind of lost sight of it. But she hasn't lost sight of the positive feelings of respect and fondness, so........ Nice!

Zero was another person that Escha admired a lot! (Maybe she just likes pretty ladies?)

She never actually wound up learning much about Zero, but she just thought Zero was so cool, and pretty, and bad ass... She was always so up front about her frustrations! Which Escha thought was not unreasonable in a situation like this! And even though Zero seemed impatient with Escha, she didn't, like, yell at her? And Escha doesn't mind playing polite if it's just some mild impatience...! It could have been worse!

At first Escha was pretty convinced that Zero hated her, though? Just because Zero seemed so open with her frustrations and had gone out of her way to come tell Escha to not be so naive. So Escha kind of thought that maybe that was her chance at a good first impression and she'd blown it... But she still appreciated that Zero had gone out of her way to phrase her frustrations relatively gently... How polite of her! How courteous! So kind!!! (In her own way!!!)

But then Zero talked to her again after Logy died, when Escha was going to be useless and she kind of figured Zero knew/understood that! And again when she was about to die, just to be nice!! And they just talked about ruins and things Escha likes, and it was sweet. So in the end her impression of Zero is that she plays much harsher than she really is, and Escha really really likes her...!

which makes it unfortunate that Zero is stuck with the group that's getting a bad end, but it's. fine.

SO ESCHA'S FIRST IMPRESSION was that Aizawa was just a tired man!! Everyone was nauseous and he was just sleeping and so she kind of figured maybe he was a little bit on the frail side!

And then I don't think she really learned anything else about him?????? Like I think that Dick mentioned that he was a hero or something and she was like "huh. barely know what that means, but okay," and filed away the information - so then she was less worried about him! Unfortunately, that also means that she didn't stress about seeking him out to check on him, so we didn't get much cr... cries!!! NEXT TIME FOR SURE!!!!

ALSO THEN HE MURDERED HER, WHICH meant that in the graveyard she was just very. Anxious and had, like, residual tension around him? She knew it wasn't his fault and Demons Etc, but just... Had a hard time getting comfortable with him. But having a little adventure that i didn't finish threading out because i suck i'm sorry i'm sorry helped a little bit.

But honestly what helped the most was when he got black out drunk and propositioned someone in front of everyone during the last trial LMDfkfmldss. It made him feel very nonthreatening, and her emotions were running high with stress + the hopefulness of Taako's spell + and it just was very. Cute?? It was cute!!! And charming and romantic, SORT OF???? IN A WAY????? And since she and Logy are in eternal relationship limbo, she really admires someone who can speak up and go after who they want!!!

So I think in the end, she's finally gotten over that "this person (while possessed) tried to murder me" anxiety around him, and... Time to be demons I guess!!! GREAT!!!!

HONESTLY Escha just kind of thought Chuuya was a bit of a disaster, and she didn't know how to handle him. He was Logy's roommate, so she wanted to get along, and sometimes it was pretty easy to talk to him! But he was very much in the midst of a slow-motion life-long melt-down, and she just isn't... Equipped to handle that sort of thing. Atelier games don't delve into a lot of deep emotional territory!!! So like, when he broke down in front of her because of the writing she was just!! trying to be polite, but internally screaming.

Which meant that she never really knew how to handle him, after that. What if he cries again???? She didn't want to assume he was just perpetually on the verge of breakdown, but!! She was both worried while also not wanting to be someone who had to deal with it, meaning she didn't want to get that close.

And she didn't want to enable his drinking either, buuuuut, I meeeaaan, it also wasn't her responsibility... And he's totally nice and fun to talk to when he's just being chill! So she'd still drink with him every so often... It's fine......

Chuuya basically strikes me as the kind of person that Escha would work extra hard to be polite with and hang out with! ... While keeping him at a distance. And also he's the type of person that she would probably talk about a lot to Logy in private, not to be gossipy, but because she's so "IS HE OKAY????" but can't bring it up to him and face it properly.

I said briefly in chat that Escha's "type" is "people she can interact comfortably with," and I think that's largely how things were with Junpei!

She and him and Dick all just settled into each other so easily, and I super loved their CR. I died early, so it was def my highlight of the game!!! lmao. I know that I complained about being dragged into being a braincell, but I also really loved it; it let me get Escha focused and in her work mindset, which is how she usually operates back home. She's a total workaholic, so even if I died of being stupid and trying to keep up with her, it was super helpful for characterization and fun to, like, have something she could consider 'work' that was also as casually sociable as she's used to her work being.

She was always really impressed with how hard Junpei was working to get information, but he never seemed cold or distant even if he was a calculating person. And he always managed to frame things in a way that didn't bother her - if he had put more emphasis on wanting certain things secret or if they had been a more, idk, sneaky group? I don't think she would have been as into it. But Junpei and Dick really motivated Escha to do her best to learn things, and they were both very patient with having to stop and explain things to her constantly...

Ultimately, she always felt that she wasn't bringing enough to their meetings, and she did feel a little bad about it... But she also didn't get too consumed by that because the two of them were always so supportive, and she felt that she was helping out in the ways that she could - like organizing notes or cooking for them, etc.

I think it kind of speaks to how much she liked Dick and Junpei that she held a little grudge against Kagachi, but not them. Once she wasn't cursed with stupid anymore and remembered all of the stuff, she kind of realized, "Hey wait, I told all these people that Tamamo was safe and even discussed framing her as a potential thing that could be done! People would have listened to them, too, if the three of them had tried to steer people towards voting that way! They should have known to help do that! They should have done that to help me!"

... And so with Kagachi, who she kind of had negative interactions with, she was like, not angry, but... Disappointed and frustrated. But with Dick and Junpei she was kind of like, immediately dismissing any negative feelings that gave her, because it wasn't worth holding onto, and she loved them both too much to want to hold onto it.

She would be a lot more devastated by this outcome if Dick and Junpei had been on her side and become demons etc, but because her two favorite (new) people on the ship get to make it out okay, she's much more at peace with it.
