[ with that, he quickly shakes his head with a somewhat dismissive laugh, but the smile returns to his face just as fast. ]
Thank you for your letters, by the way. Junpei-san and I retrieved them from Taako-san, and I distributed them to the others during our usual check-in. I only read mine, of course—but the others were just as appreciative. If nothing else, they've served to remind us of the duty we're meant to fulfill... I just wish it hadn't come at the cost of your life.
Ah—forgive me for speaking so much. It's easy to get carried away knowing only we have so much time to converse.
[ he smiles a little sheepishly as he bows in apology. kanesan might have noticed that, though nikkari has no such limitations on his speech, he's still gesturing accordingly in addition to his spoken words... such as the confused quirk of his eyebrow, and the way he runs his hands over his own body wherever kanesan's has visible markings. ]
... Though I admit, I can't help but be curious—did those marks linger from your murder...?

[ he looks at each of them in more detail, committing the images to memory, nodding and commenting to himself in the process, looking up at kanesan every so often to gauge his reactions to his muttering. ]
I assume we'll need all of these items to fully banish the demons... hm. I suppose I'll have to purchase the jeweled phallus from the gift shop... the shoes have already been taken care of... Tamamo-san has the penis dagger... does the dark blue indicate the presence of holy water? If so, that means we must obtain an artificial heart filled with it... is that an anal plug? since nikkari has already figured out the first three, he'll focus on the other ones, starting with the. butt plug. to which he'll just nod before moving on to point at the jar, then the veins of his wrist. got that? cool. onto the... well i also hope that isn't an enema but who can tell with these mods? anyway he'll point to that and then to his eye, where he traces where a tear might down his cheek. and then he mimes pulling a necklace over his head.
last but not least... after indicating the blue heart, he'll point to the left side of nikkari's chest, where his own should be. and then, in the air, he begins to spell out a single character.

well. anyway. with a sigh, he simply indicates the ritual circle and begins to trace three more characters in the air:

Haha... forgive me for jumping to conclusions, though that at least puts me a little more at ease. So the blood and heart of a demon. [ he first nods... he shakes his head with a reassuring smile, though, when he sees the urgency in kanesan's expression. ] And don't worry; I'll let you know when I feel our connection start to fade. I've gotten quite skilled at being able to tell as much over the past few weeks.
[ but okay, ritual equipment noted. he goes over each item under his breath once more, just to further solidify the list in his mind. once he's finished with that, he looks back up. ]
Moving on... I'd heard as much from Junpei, regarding the previous round. From your notes specifically, if I recall correctly. [ his smile becomes a little more sincere. ] Thumbs up if the the ritual needs to be performed on the fiftieth day itself, thumbs down if that is simply our time limit. Similarly... [ he points to the clock next to that giant blur. ] A nod if the ritual needs to happen exactly at 3 PM, a shake if it can be done any time before.

there's one thing he wants to clarify, though... so once again, he points to the jar and writes another character in the air.

[ that's... a lot! wow! if the last group started going crazy on day 49, how are they supposed to last until 50? ... well, there's not much he can do on his own other than quietly ruminate on that, so he'll just file that away for later, when he can at least freak out about it with other people.
... when he manages to shake that from his mind, he comes back to kanesan's latest skywriting attempt, and... tilts his head. ]
... Forgive the foolish question, but—a nod for that simply indicating holy water, a shake if there is a physical divine entity on board that we must find?

[ as he thinks on that, he suddenly looks up, as though he's heard something audible only to him. ]
Ah. It seems our time limit approaches. A few simple things to wrap up this short-lived reunion, then, Izuminokami-san—[ ... is it rude to laugh at his own bad taste joke right in front of a dead friend... anyway, ]—first, is there any message you wish to deliver to the living? Whether it be to a specific person, a select group, or the remaining survivors at large, I will convey whatever you want to say to the best of my ability.
[ he pauses for a bit, before his smile becomes a little more somber. he raises a hand to his heart and bows his head; he's a playful person, but when it comes to matters regarding the dead, he knows better than most that respect is paramount. ]
Second... this is actually a request to have a message delivered to you, from Edelgard-san. While it seems that their relationship was... complicated, it is partially thanks to Dimitri-san that she lived through certain events back in their home world. Thanks to this, she still considers Dimitri-san an important person in her life, and she is deeply thankful that you freed him from the demon's control before the worst could happen. She wanted to make sure you were aware of the true depth of her gratitude.

edelgard's name brings him to attention though. by the time nikkari is done speaking, kanesan has averted his eyes, expression drawn into a somber frown. but he looks back a moment later with a genuine smile, and bows once. ]
