[ And went SPLAT against the wall? But does that make it bad that they broke down the door, or is it splat and that means it doesn't matter? Ugh, who knows.
Escha makes note of the box, but moves on to the center shelf. She's still deciding whether or not she wants to try opening that. ]
[The sink is, indeed, running! Which is super unfortunate for whatever was laying at the bottom of the sink, because it definitely will sound like the water hit paper the moment it started running. O... Oops?
As for Escha, her findings in the center shelf will be similar. Many unlabeled chemicals, and an opaque plastic box that's sealed up tight.]
[Though the lighting is poor as shit, Logy will be able to see enough to identify what appears to be something about the length of his arm, from the elbow to the tip of his fingers, at the bottom of the sink. It's wrapped up in (now soggy) newspaper.
[When Logy pokes the soggy mystery item, he will find that it's surprisingly sturdy under the newspaper. Unfortunately, though... It looks like ths newspaper suffered a bit of water damage. What little is intact seems to have been written in the same language as the notes that only the NPCs could read, so maybe it's not That Big of a loss.
As for Escha, uh.
Well.
When she opens the box in the right shelf, she will be assaulted by what is the most disgusting, musty smell possible. If that isn't troubling enough, then perhaps the fact that she's stumbled across the skeletal remains of a left leg might be.
But, hey. At least she found a rad shoe. A single shoe. Uno shoe. Maybe she should say finders keepers and take it off the leg.]
[ You know... It turns out Escha's instinct isn't to take shoes off of disembodied limbs??? But she also has to open the other boxes. For completionism. Next up is the box on the center shelf. ]
[Logy is going to find the skeletal remains of a right arm, folded at the elbow. The same musty smell released by the box Escha opened will be present as Logy unwraps the newspaper.
When Escha opens up the box on the center shelf, she will find the skeletal remains of someone's torso. Ribcage, sternum, scapula, spine and pelvis — they're all there.
[Is it a weird puzzle? There's only one way to confirm or deny Escha's theory.
There's no ledge for Logy to place the arm, but he will find a couple of buckets next to the sink. The kind with the little wheels on it, meant to carry water for a mop.
Unfortunately for Escha, she will find the skeletal remains of a left arm. It seems to be holding something between its bony fingers.]
[Nothing in the buckets, except for maybe a dead bug or two! Ew. :(
How careful is Escha being with those bony little fingers? Because if she's too swift in her movement, the index finger is going to snap right off before she can get to the note the remains are holding onto.]
[Thank you, Escha. Mr. Bones happily lets go of the note as long as she's careful! When she pulls the note out, she will see that someone has scribbled a single word on the slip of paper.]
[He'll put his skeleton arm in a bucket, wash off his hand of the black goo, (it washes off right?), and retrieve the arm before joining Escha on the other side of the room.]
[ When Logy gets to her, she holds out the paper to him. ]
I found this. And the boxes had a left leg - with a shoe? A torso, and a left arm. With the arm you found, that means it's missing, what, a skull and and a right leg?

[But he's thinking it was probably a human.
For now he'll go over to the sink and check if it's running.]

There are so many chemicals here, I wonder if we could use any of them to make bombs...
[ On a demon infested ship in the middle of the ocean, Escha still wants to make bombs. ]

If he tries to slowly, gently unwrap the newspaper so he doesn't destroy it completely, what is he going to see?]
There's something in the sink.

I found some gross stuff over here...

This is... pleasant.]

I found part of a skeleton. Somebody's right arm.

Ew...!
I'm finding bones too... What kind of a storage room is this? We're not supposed to put it together, are we? It's not a weird puzzle, right?

[ But knowing this place... It might be worth testing? Eugh.
First things first, what's in those bony fingers? Whatcha got there, dead guy? Something better than a shoe? ]

I'm not excited about it either, but we might find something useful.
no subject
I wouldn't put it past this place to make us do something like that just to get back out of this room.

BOXES
[Hm...?]

We could try to break it open if it came to that.

Maybe the rest of it is in those?
