So, first impression................... was that Prompto was annoying. SORRY ABOUT IT, just he had way too much energy and was snapping pictures (and even though Aizawa could tell he wasn't like- a professional paparazzi he still doesn't like it)

then prompto was dead and aizawa didn't think about it much, especially because blam monday morning he was a demon

Once they were both dead there was a bit of room for that interpretation to move from "he's annoying (negative)" to "he's annoying (neutral-positive)"

Through the missions, trial watching, and getting to know Hizamaru, Aizawa's ranking is pretty solidly up here in "this is a kid" (aizawa everyone here is 18+) "and kids deserve to not have to worry about this stuff" so he's basically just thumbs-uping at their relationship like you do you, we're all stuck here to be demons, whatever
