There are three things that could happen on Day Fifty! That's Saturday, if you don't know how to count.
Option A: If the idiots on the ship failed to get the memo and didn't find all seven of the items, nobody gets to go home and you're all stuck here forever. Fun!
Option B: They do the ritual on Day 50, and everyone gets to go home including you guys. But if you do that, you're agreeing to let us use everyone who died as Patient Zero so we can keep fucking and killing in your worlds. We've conquered a bunch of places like this before, including alternate versions of your own worlds, so don't think you can go home and find a cure for it. You're our tool now. ♥
Option C: They do the ritual on Day 50, and only the people who stayed alive get to go home. Boo! Bright side is that we get to keep you here forever and ever and ever! You'll eventually turn into demons, too, and then we can become best friends.
So now you're wondering: "Oh! But how does this work?! I'm so stupid, I can't figure it out for myself!"
It's okay, it's okay. Most of us were meat once, too, so I don't mind explaining.
On Day 50, the people on the ship have to put the seven items they found around the circle Polly drew up for you. She used the blood of someone who can manipulate space and time, so nobody has to modify the circle to get it to work. Super thoughtful of her, right? Anyway... Once they have the items there, they have to pick who they want to stab in the middle of the circle! If they stab one of your normie meatbag friends (read: they don't have one of us sexy, sexy demons inside of them), you open up the portal that'll let Option B happen. Easy, peasy, no hard work involved at all. They can even draw straws to decide who they're stabbing.
If they want to go for Option C, though, that's a liiiiittle harder. They have to find one of us, and stab our meatsuit inside the circle. It won't work if you use that swanky little squirt gun to pull us out first. You have to stab us with meatsuit and all! And if there's more than one of us demons on that side and they don't get all of them? You're giving us permission to use anyone who is still possessed as our tools, too. So I guess you can call that scenario Option B.5? I'm so funny.
If you have any questions, Polly and Carlos are like... right there. I think. Probably. You can ask them to confirm. Or don't. It's up to you if you want to go through all the stages of grief or whatever. If you want to be naughty and keep Option C away from those on the ship to ensure you go home, you can do that, too.
